Transparency and community trust are at the heart of everything we do. We’re grateful to the Lopez Island Family Resource Center (LIFRC) for their partnership in supporting the creation of the Lopez Rec District. When it came to our attention that the donation given to Lopez Island Parks and Recreation Formation Committee had additional restrictions, we worked with LIFRC to resolve the issue and returned the grant in full.

We appreciate LIFRC’s commitment to maintaining clear lines between charitable education and political activity — that’s what helps keep our small community strong, accountable, and collaborative.
